    Yuhuan Dafeng Environment Egis Equipment Announced the Launch of UVC-Faucet with High power UVC LED

    A global market leader of the Faucet industry, Yuhuan Dafeng Environment Egis Equipment, held a product launch event in Hangzhou, China and unveil its innovative product, UVC-Faucet. The UVC-Faucet integrates Klaran™ UVC LEDs into conventional faucet, which enables UV sterilization of water at the final point of water supply system. The product’s UVC LED would turns on simultaneously when people use water, allowing the water to be treated by UV irradiation before pouring. UVC-Faucet has passed the SGS test that it can wipe out E Coli by 99.99 percent under the condition of 1.5 liters to 2.0 liters per minute flowing rate.



    Several Chinese water-purifying companies have attended the events to learn details about the product concept and the deployed technologies. Dr. Shiyi Chang, director of engineering of Yuhuan Dafeng, explained the history of water purification technology and indicated that the UVC-Faucet is the first product which delivers “real” purified water to consumers by the combination of filtering.

    UV Power Researches For Replacing Conventional UV Light Sources with High-Power UV LEDs

    Since February 2017, a total of five research institutes and companies have been working on “UV Power”, a collaborative project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).     Apple’s launch of iPhone X has led to a wave of 3D sensing technology, bringing its key component—vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL)—into the spotlight. However, the number of VCSEL suppliers with mass production capacity is very limited due to technical barriers, leading to short supply of VCSELs and thus delaying Android camp’s plan to follow suit. TrendForce estimates the penetration rate of 3D sensing in smartphones will grow from 2.1% in 2017 to 13.1% in 2018, while Apple remains the major adopter.
