Yuhuan Dafeng Environment Egis Equipment Announced the Launch of UVC-Faucet with High power UVC LED

A global market leader of the Faucet industry, Yuhuan Dafeng Environment Egis Equipment, held a product launch event in Hangzhou, China and unveil its innovative product, UVC-Faucet. The UVC-Faucet integrates Klaran™ UVC LEDs into conventional faucet, which enables UV sterilization of water at the final point of water supply system. The product’s UVC LED would turns on simultaneously when people use water, allowing the water to be treated by UV irradiation before pouring. UVC-Faucet has passed the SGS test that it can wipe out E Coli by 99.99 percent under the condition of 1.5 liters to 2.0 liters per minute flowing rate.

A few years ago, Spanish designer Silvia Ceñal introduced the Macaron pendant lamp and now with Lithuanian company EMKO, the Macaron Floor Lamp comes to life. UV Power Researches For Replacing Conventional UV Light Sources with High-Power UV LEDs

Since February 2017, a total of five research institutes and companies have been working on “UV Power”, a collaborative project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The partners have made it their goal to provide high-power UV LEDs to cover a wide variety of applications. These LEDs will eventually replace conventional UV light sources, which often contain toxic mercury, in areas such as production, disinfection, the environment, life sciences and medicine. UV LEDs are also likely to open up new areas of application.

Increasing Applications and Rising Market of UV LED

With a wide range of applications, UV LED is considered a new rising opportunity for the LED industry. LEDinside noted in the latest report, titled “2019 Deep UV LED Application Market- Sterilization, Purification, and Water Treatment Markets,” that UV LED market continues to increase with the curing market steadily grow and rising applications in sterilization for surface, air, static and flowing water. With these driving momentums, LEDinside forecasts that the UV LED market value will reach US$ 991 million in 2023.

AquiSense Partners with US EPA and Washington University to Develop UV LED Disinfection System

AquiSense Technologies, a U.S. based UV-C LED systems developer, announced its partnership with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and Washington University base on a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) for advanced development of UV LED disinfection system.
