    GILE 2019: Visitor Numbers Grow and a Packed Event Program Proves a Hit

    Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) once again welcomed the world’s lighting industry to South China’s bustling metropolis. Concurrently held with Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology, the shows received 172,856 visitors from 133 countries and regions during the four-day trade fairs. Held from 9 ‒ 12 June at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, a total of 2,626 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions showcased the latest lighting and LED products, technology and solutions over 195,000 sqm of exhibition space.

    The 2019 edition of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) embraced a new show theme of “Envisage the Next Move” as a nod towards the current state of the lighting industry. An industry that on the one hand continues to pursue new innovations and which is at the same time facing challenges in defending its core competencies and protecting the quality and sustainability of lighting.

    Light+Building 2018 Recap

    Every two years the lighting community comes together for Light+Building (March 18-23, 2018) in Frankfurt, Germany, a blockbuster weeklong trade show where manufacturers showcase innovations and products. This year was no different. With an increase in exhibitors (up from 2,626 in 2016), a total of 2,714 manufacturers from 55 countries showcased new products across close to 2.8 million square feet of exhibition space. According to fair organizer Messe Frankfurt, more than 220,000 trade visitors (an increase from 216,610 in 2016) from 177 countries attended the show.

    Lynk Labs Expands Focus on Licensing & Enforcing Intellectual Property in LED Lighting Industry

    Lynk Labs Inc., an OEM component supplier of AC/HV LED and DC LED Lighting assemblies, modules, lamps, drivers and system solutions is expanding its focus on the "LED industry's unlicensed use, import and export of the company's broad and diversified intellectual property portfolio," according to Lynk officials.
