‘Piuma’ in Italian means light, which is the idea behind this collection. This simple idea was realized by using different wood laminating techniques. Most importantly, we adapted Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) for Piuma’s table tops and loose panels. CLT helps to eliminate most of solid wood’s inherited wood movement problem which results in a much more stable product. Together with laminating bent wood, we created a stylish collection with sensuous curves and elegant proportion.
Piuma round café table has three extremely sensuous bent wood legs. These bent legs are not only good looking, it’s designed to give the table a stable support. Table top is made from CLT.
