In 1946 ROmeo Bagnoli buys a dairy shop in Empoli and two years later hiseldest son Renzo,a trasfoms it into a real dairy gelato workshop using the milk from the nearby Sammnotana farm.In 1960,Renzo together with his two brothers,Sergio and Loriano,convert the workshop in a real gelato factory and inaugurate the Sammontana plant in Empoli. The birth of the Coppa Oro affirms the first packaged gelato production. |
