This Small Wall Mounted Shelf Transforms Into A Desk For Working At Home

Woodendot, a design studio and furniture maker from Spain, has created Alada, a wall-mounted shelf that transforms into a desk. The design of the shelf was inspired by the movement that birds draw on the sky when they move their wings up and down. A small wall mounted shelf that transforms into a desk. This simple movement enabled the designers to seamlessly transform the furniture piece from a wall desk to a decorative shelf in just seconds, or vice versa. When folded and on display as a shelf, the minimal design of Alada allows for invisible storage hidden behind, perfect for gadgets or notebooks.  

This Modern Outdoor Lounge Draws Inspiration From The Shape Of A Tipi

Designer Marco Lavit has created a ‘Hut’, a new outdoor furniture design that’s made to feel like a welcoming and comfortable nest. Created for furniture manufacturer Ethimo, ‘Hut’ includes long wood slats made from Siberian Larcie or Accoya, which are fashioned in a way that’s inspired by the shapes of a tipi. The interior of the lounge includes metal inserts and details that define the large seat, which is covered with soft cushions. When needed, a curtain, which hangs from a metal ring, can be drawn, creating a semi-private place to relax.
