Government delays 2009 antidumping review
    September 17,2010

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Commerce has delayed releasing preliminary results of its latest administrative review in the wood bedroom furniture antidumping case.

The results are an audit of 2009 shipments that determine whether Chinese bedroom producers should be assigned different duty rates than the initial duties paid on deposit for that year. The DOC initially planned to release the preliminary review results Oct. 4.

However, it said it needs an additional 120 days for the review, and now plans to release the results Jan. 30.

The review is associated with the wood bedroom furniture antidumping case in which the government determined Chinese producers are selling finished goods below fair market values. The government says this has caused unfair competition and injury to domestic U.S. producers.
