Furniture Project Process Plug-Ins. by Royal College of Art Philipp Schenk-Mischke
    October 04,2018

Philipp Schenk-Mischke is a graduate student at the Royal College of Art in London. Process Plug-Ins. is his last project during his time at school, including a set of ceramic vases and a small piece of furniture that blurs the line between everyday and conceptual furniture.

Philipp Schenk-Mischke hopes to reinterpret some of the classic vase shapes by using BTM Ceramics to analyze how they are made or used. Although most ceramics are only dried separately after they are formed, Schenk-Mischke will distort his shape, place them on a vibrating plate, shake gently and vibrate the shaped parts into a more organic shape.
