美国东部各个地区。

一般介绍：

美国白蜡的外观与欧洲槐木相似。白木质部份颜色浅淡,接近白色。心材颜色自棕灰色至浅棕色,至夹带棕色木纹淡黄色变化。这种木材通常平直,带有粗糙均匀纹理。浅色白木质的色度及其供应情况,随产地而变。

物理特性：

与其重量相对,槐木具有极良好的总体强度性能,良好的抗震力和蒸汽弯曲强度。

加工性能：

白蜡加工性能良好,能用钉、螺丝及胶水良好固定,可经染色及抛光而取得良好表面。适合乾燥气候,且老化极轻微,性能变化小。

耐用性：

白蜡没有心材抗腐力,白木质易受留粉甲虫及常见家具甲虫蛀食。心木对防腐处理剂有中等抗渗透力,白木质具渗透力。

供应情况：

美国： 容易获得。

出口： 板材及薄木片供应良好。板材常以产区分类,并以北槐及南槐出售。

主要用途：

家具、地板、建筑室内装饰、高级细木工制品及模制品、厨柜、镶板、工具手柄、体育用品及车制品。
