Law enforcement boats will have problems such as water leakage and rubber fading, so how should they be dealt with, and what are the reasons?

Handling of common problems of law enforcement boats

1. The color change, blistering and black spots on the surface of the rubber shell of law enforcement boats: The proportion of the rubber used in the local repair construction changes at different times, or the color of the rubber shell of different batches is different, which will cause the external rubber shell to be damaged in the future. Color change (dark and light color, yellow change), especially the dust granular change on the dark rubber shell, which makes the surface of the rubber shell darker, lighter, and black.

Today, as Honda, Honda Power China has three solutions:

a. For color difference, sand off the rubber on the surface, recoat the rubber shell of the same model, grind it into #1000 or more sandpaper, after polishing and waxing, control the amount of curing agent added during production and repair.

Hit out the foam/black spots; chisel off the rubber layer at the foam/black spots, and then apply the same type of rubber, grind it into #1000 or more sandpaper, and finish with polishing and waxing.

If there are deep blisters or black spots, you need to cut out the entire depression, and then fill the depression with broken felt and accumulated resin. After the curing is completed, recoat the same type of rubber shell, and then use #1000 Or above sandpaper and then polished and waxed to finish.

2. Cracks at the junction between the hull and deck of the law enforcement boat: In most cases, cracks appear only at the junction of the side (hull and deck).

There are two solutions:

a. Local minor collision; disassemble the side fender bead to refit the glass fiber reinforced plastic, re-fix it with structural glue and bolts, and then reinforce/repair.

Collision in the area; please find the dealer to arrange a professional for repair.

3. Cracking of the rubber shell on the joints of the hull, deck, fly bridge and FRP components of law enforcement boats: most of them occur in stairs and other places. Due to the joint of FRP parts and the main body of the deck, due to the combination of two FRP parts, the concave and convex corners are due to long-term use. , Easy to crack on the surface of the rubber shell.

Processing: Remove the thick rubber shell layer, use felt cloth to add resin to reinforce it, after curing, apply the same type of rubber shell, polish to #1000 sandpaper, and then polish and wax.

4. Water on the deck surface of law enforcement boats: Poor drainage of the board or teak deck on the deck surface causes local water accumulation.

Two solutions:

a. If the local water is near the edge, a drainage outlet can be added.

b.If the area of stagnant water is large, the slope of the ground drainage must be readjusted.
