Raymarine, the UK's major supplier of electronic equipment for marine use, unveiled its new YachtSense Ecosystem in a preview launch to industry press at METSTRADE on Wednesday.
The new YachtSense Ecosystem enables complete onboard and offboard integration with all devices connected to the boats network. An installed system assures captains and boat owners of the readiness of their vessel prior to, during and after their voyage. Voyage preparations can begin before leaving home, and whilst onboard everyone can enjoy the same connectivity.

The Ecoystem comprises a new Raymarine App that connects directly to its Axiom displays and allows the user to command and control displays, back up waypoints and other data. Also new is YachtSense Link, a fully marinised network router with 4G mobile broadband that allows remote connection to NMEA 2k devices. It also has a Geofencing capability to set movement trigger warnings and to allow tracking of the boat in recovery situations. Connecting with the App enables extended offboat connectivity.

The whole Ecosystem comes together with the YachtSense digital switching that was launched by the firm at METSTRADE last year – in essence, it allows the boater fingertip remote control from their tablet or mobile of a whole array of on-boat systems and features.
