ENATA, the United Arab Emirates based foiler manufacturer has unveiled the Vatoz, (Turkish for Stingray), a 10-metre foiling motor yacht based on the original ENATA Foiler’s hull and foiling system. It is the result of collaboration with yacht designer, Timur Bozca.
According to ENATA: ”The new beautiful design shares all the Foiler’s advantages and technology. Production will be limited to 8 units. It’s the perfect example of the kinds of collaborations we make on our proven foiling platform, giving builders and designers access to our technologies.”
Commenting on his design, Bozca said: “The main idea behind the Vatoz is to create the maximum dynamics inspired by the Stingray. Behind the clean surfaces and curved lines lies an aerodynamic exhibition. Distinctive lines draw your eye across the front and out to the prominent wings.”
With an eye on practicality Bozca added that the wings on the sides are designed to allow easy access to the front area, as well as to prevent the waves from reaching the cabin and to create areas to store sea toys. Vatoz uses a carbon fibre hull, and Foiler technology that enables it to fly 1.5 metres above the water utilising its proprietary sophisticated Wingman management system. The yacht’s maximum speed is 40 knots in the foiling mode, verified by IBI during sea trials on the original Foiler model in Dubai.
”The Vatoz, like its namesake the Stingray, has minimal impact on the environment in terms of fuel consumption, wake, and noise, which was the inspiration behind this beautiful design and a homage to the endangered marine life we need to protect,” said ENATA.
ENATA Director Alois Vieujot told IBI: “We are in talks with several companies, designers, and yacht manufacturers aiming to capitalize on ENATA’s industry-leading expertise in the foiling sector. Working with Timur Bozca is a pleasure and the outcome speaks for itself. This collaboration has opened ENATA’s doors to the world for future collaborations”.
Timur Bozca added: “Foiling brings another dimension to the yachting experience. The Foiler’s experience and comfort is the dream the yacht industry is trying to achieve. It is the perfect extension of elegance, tranquillity, and a vision of the future, which is represented in our designs.”
