Benetti has launched the third unit in its B.Yond 37M series, christened M.Byond. Delivery is scheduled for spring 2024, with Stefano Righini and Pierluigi Ausonio responsible for the series' exterior and naval architecture respectively.
Commissioned by an owner with a "sensitivity toward consumption", the yacht has been fitted with a battery pack three times larger than previous units, allowing considerable autonomy at anchor. It also benefits from SCR catalytic filters and a Siemens hybrid system that "ensures a reduction in CO2 and NOx emissions never recorded on a yacht of this category before", according to the shipyard. As a result, four different modes are on offer, including a full-electric mode for "zero-emission navigation".
Other highlights include a gym area and cinema room on the main deck, to fulfil the owners' request for quality family time.
According to BOATPro, Benetti currently has five B.YOND 37M units under construction. The news follows another recent Benetti launch – the sixteenth unit in its Oasis 40M series.
