Dutch shipyard Moonen Yachts has launched the fifth hull in its Martinique 122 yacht series in the Netherlands. Previously known as Project YN205, the 37.4-metre yacht called Lumière will be delivered to her Australian owners ahead of the summer and is expected to spend her first season in the Mediterranean.

Lumière has been designed by René van der Velden as a "home away from home" and has long-range transatlantic capability.

This particular hull is slightly bigger than its sisterships and has been customised to suit the owners' tastes and use of the yacht. On board highlights include an extended sundeck and large Jacuzzi pool, as well as an extended swim platform providing an additional eight square metres of space thanks to an integrated folding platform. An almost continuous band of windows wrapping around the main and bridge decks offer panoramic views.

The interior offers up 345 GT of volume and will be designed by London-based Studio Indigo, who also handled the interior on board the first Martinique hull named Brigadoon. Accommodation is for 12 guests and seven crew.

The hull was constructed at the Talsma Shipyard in the Netherlands – the first time a Martinique hull was built by an external shipyard – before being transported to Moonen's Den Bosch shipyard.

Moonen Yachts' technical director Nicky van Zon commented on the launch: “We are incredibly proud to see Lumière successfully launched. We can’t wait to see her glimmer in the Mediterranean sunlight. Lumière will be the most exquisite way to experience all the beautiful worldwide destinations her owners will take her to. She is a stunning example of Moonen design excellence and attention to detail. You can sense the dedication and craftsmanship that our team has put into her construction.”
