There are superyachts that can go fast. And there are superyachts that can go really fast. Push forward the throttles on Maiora Yachts’s 115-foot Lady Nina and the boat morphs from laid-back, family cruiser to a hard-charging speed machine capable of a 40-mph top speed. Her secret? A wave-slicing, fast-planing hull that rides on top of the water rather than pushing through it like a typical displacement yacht. That, and triple 1,925 hp Caterpillar C32 turbodiesels mated to Swedish MJP waterjets.

The first interior renders of the 67-metre Heesen superyacht Sparta have been revealed by Arcon Yachts. The shipyard's largest steel construction to date, she was last spotted heading out on sea trials in August. Both Sparta's interiors and exterior are owed to Winch Design. The British studio has opted for a sporty, low-profile exterior, featuring a reverse bow and a mix of "Venetian red" and metallic grey accents. Heesen said that little has changed since the initial sketches were presented except for modifications to the aft deck pool, which now stretches to 6.5 metres.
