Rosewood Hotels & Resorts' has been tapped by German real estate company Bayerische Hausbau to manage the Rosewood Munich, set to open in 2023. The hotel is Rosewood's first property in Germany and its seventh in Europe.

The property will be housed in two historical buildings: the former headquarters of the State Bank of Bavaria and the adjacent Palais Neuhaus-Preysing, a former private residence.

Located on Kardinal-Faulhaber-Strasse in the city's historical center, the property will feature 132 guestrooms and suites, meetings and event spaces for up to 400 guests, two dining venues, a full-service spa with five treatment rooms and an indoor pool and fitness center.

The hotel, which will retain its original facade and staircase, will within walking distance of such high-profile sites as Marienplatz square, the Residenz city palace, the Bavarian State Opera and the Maximilian and Theatinerstrasse shopping districts.
