The Hyatt Place brand is entering the German market with the Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport. The new airport hotel is part of the Gateway Garden business district.
The 312-room property is near Frankfurt Airport, the city center and the Rhine-Main region, including Mainz and Wiesbaden. The new hotel joins Hyatt Place's portfolio of six hotels in Europe. These include Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport, Hyatt Place West London/Hayes, Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport, Hyatt Place Jermuk and Hyatt Place Yerevan. Hyatt Hotels' global portfolio has 739 properties in 57 countries across its 13 brands Park Hyatt, Miraval, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt, Andaz, Hyatt Centric, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara.
The Hyatt Place Frankfurt's opening follows six other new Hyatt Hotels-branded hotels arriving in Germany. These are: The Grand Hyatt Berlin, Park Hyatt Hamburg, Hyatt Regency Mainz, Hyatt Regency Cologne, Hyatt House Dusseldorf-Andreas Quarter and Hyatt Regency Dusseldorf.
The announcement follows Hyatt Hotel's plan to expand its Hyatt Centric brand across Europe. The hotel group opened the Hyatt Centric La Rosière on Dec. 15, 2017, while the Hyatt Centric Gran Via Madrid opened on Dec. 20, 2017. Both properties are the first of the brand in their respective countries.
Hyatt Centric Gran Via Madrid was converted from a building constructed in the 1920s. The 159-room hotel is near Retiro Park, Prado Museum, Royal Palace and boutiques. Meanwhile, the Hyatt Centric La Rosière in the French Alps has 69 rooms. It is in the center of the Franco-Italian La Rosière ski destination in the Tarentaise Valley near Courchevel, Val d’Isère and Les Arcs.
