Kimpton will open a hotel near Disneyland that will feature a rooftop bar as well as a number of suites with unobstructed views of the theme park's fireworks show. Kimpton anticipates a 2021 opening.

The 200-room hotel will be part of Grove District Anaheim, technically located in the city of Garden Grove, Calif., about a mile south of Disneyland. In addition to the rooftop bar, the hotel will have a restaurant and about 10,000 square feet of meeting space.

Kimpton continues to expand its presence in Southern California. The group took over Huntington Beach's Shorebreak Hotel in 2015 and opened the Everly in Hollywood last August. Last month, Kimpton debuted La Peer in West Hollywood.
