The 96-room Serafina Beach Hotel opened in the Condado district of San Juan on Tuesday. It is the first new hotel to open in Puerto Rico this year.

The property is New York-based Serafina Restaurant Group's first hotel.

"Expanding the Serafina brand into a lifestyle hotel experience is a natural fit and next step for my partner Fabio Granato and I. San Juan is a city close to our hearts and we could think of no better place to bring to life the essence of Serafina in a hotel experience," said Vittorio Assaf, Serafina Restaurant Group co-owner.

The oceanfront property features floor-to-ceiling windows, chic interiors, local artwork, an infinity pool with cabanas and an outdoor bar and three dining venues, including the signature aMare restaurant serving Mediterranean and seafood dishes fused with Puerto Rican flavors.

Serafina's "Experience the Island" concierge service offers guests access to nightly kayak excursions, private helicopter tours and guided visits through Old San Juan.

The hotel also has a voluntourism program where guests can connect with local communities to participate in rebuilding efforts.

To celebrate the opening, Serafina is offering a "Reveal" rate from $369 per room, per night -- a 30% discount on all room categories with a minimum two-night stay. Guests also get a $60 food-and-beverage credit and one signature cocktail per guest. Guests must book by June 30 with travel by Oct. 31.
