Edition Hotels Introduces In-Room Fitness Amenities

Ian Schrager’s Edition Hotels, a brand collaboration with Marriott, have partnered with next-generation wellness collective Yoga For Bad People, to produce a series of in-room fitness amenities for guests. Already highly regarded for their nutritious menu offerings and renowned spa facilities onsite, Edition will be taking the next step into holistic wellness available at their guests’ fingertips to satisfy travelers checking in for leisure of business.

Yoga For Bad People, founded by Heather Lilleston and Katelin Sisson, is known for its relaxed approach to their signature retreats. Employing the same embracive style, the founders will take guests through a variety of poses based around the vinyasa style combined with specific postures aimed at alignment and therapeutics.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Edition Hotels as the first to offer in room yoga to all those who have the opportunity to stay in the incredibly well curated experience at Edition. In all our classes we aim to combine an accessible practice for all levels, with emphasis on good alignment, a sense of humor and just enough of a challenge to welcome you back to the yoga mat the next day—or your next Edition visit. At Edition we never want to leave, and we hope having these classes available to all guests will elevate the already special experience of a stay there,” said Lilleston and Sisson.

The exciting new program, being launched across Edition’s properties in Miami, New York, and London will feature three yoga videos, available on demand through the guest’s entertainment system. There are twenty-five and forty minute classes, plus a guided relaxation class, filmed at the Miami Beach EDITION, which take guests through a sequence of simple and effective poses that will help ease you awake in the morning or help you relax in the evening, perfect for every level—may they be a beginner or advanced.

“Edition is pleased to have Katelin and Heather onboard as part of our expanding wellness focus across the brand, Yoga for Bad People takes a one-of-a-kind approach to classes and teach in a truly innovative way. With this in mind they’re the perfect partner for Edition and we look forward to showcasing our in-room video classes to our guests,” Ben Pundole, VP of brand experience, Edition Hotels.
