Launched in 2010, Autograph Collection Hotels is a pioneer in the independent hotel space and has grown aggressively and selectively from less than five hotels in 2010 to over 100 hotels today. Exactly like nothing else, each hotel is hand selected for its rich character and uncommon details. A personal realization of an individual founder’s vision, these hotels are defined by unique design, differentiated guest experiences and their meaningful role in locality.
“We are thrilled to add these five exceptional properties to our growing global portfolio that celebrates individuality,” said Julius Robinson, Vice President & Global Lead, Autograph Collection Hotels. “The diversity of our expanded hotel collection provides guests with the most compelling range of travel experiences in the world.”
Autograph Collection’s latest additions include:
Roomers Baden-Baden (Baden-Baden, Germany)
Roomers Baden-Baden, which opened in October, is a dazzling fusion of architecture and design – bringing a modern aesthetic to this renowned Bavarian spa town. The city’s first luxury lifestyle hotel, Roomers Baden-Baden boasts sleek interiors by renowned Milan-based architect Piero Lissoni. The hotel features 130 spacious guest rooms and suites and a gourmet Pan-Asian restaurant, moriki, helmed by famed Berlin Chef Duc Ngo. The menu is inspired by the region’s traditional smoked meat dishes and offers a mixed selection of sashimi, nigiri and maki as well as Mr. Duc’s signature wok dishes. The lounge bar, which includes a rooftop garden and infinity pool with open view to the Black Forrest, provides a charming environment for al fresco dining and signature cocktails. In keeping with the holistic nature of the town, the 5,382-square-foot spa is located on the 4th floor overlooking Baden-Baden, and features a hammam, sauna and steam bath and an impressive menu of restorative treatments.
The Watermark Baton Rouge (Baton Rouge, Louisiana)
Autograph Collection’s third hotel in Louisiana, The Watermark Baton Rouge, which opened in October, is located in the former Louisiana Trust and Savings Bank – built in 1925 as the first skyscraper in the city of Baton Rouge. The hotel’s distinctive design highlights its unique character and shines a light on the buildings history – including rare artwork by local famed sculptor Angela Gregory in the public spaces and original marble stairways that lead to the former bank vault – now ballroom. The Watermark Baton Rouge features 144 thoughtfully curated guest rooms with classic industrial features – including vault-inspired doors and exposed walls that highlight the timeless structure of the building. At The Gregory, upscale Louisiana fare with a worldly twist is brought to life by the hotel’s culinary team in an open kitchen area.
French Leave Resort (Eleuthera Island, the Bahamas)
Opening in December, French Leave Resort will offer a tranquil and secluded escape on the crystal clear, azure blue waters of Governors Harbour in the Bahamas. The 270-acre resort features traditional Bahamian architecture and was designed with the least possible environmental impact. Resort guests will be able to experience the unspoiled beauty of the French Leave pink sand beach and the destination’s breathtaking views. Local boat rentals and charters are available, and personal boats and yachts may be docked at the resort marina or at one of the hotel’s five moorings.
The Adolphus Hotel (Dallas, Texas)
The multi-million-dollar renovation to Dallas’ historic downtown landmark, The Adolphus Hotel, will modernize and vitalize the property while preserving its matchless history, elegance and charm when it opens in December. The ambitious transformation will usher in a new era for the hotel, ensuring this unique urban destination continues to be a compelling part of the Dallas community for years to come. The scope of the renovation includes the complete refurbishment of all guest rooms, public spaces and meeting spaces; the addition of a new 19th floor ballroom; construction of a 7th floor rooftop pool and bar; introduction of a new luxury spa and fitness center; refreshment of the acclaimed French Room Restaurant; and the development of new dining and retail outlets.
La Ville Hotel & Suites CITY WALK (Dubai, UAE)
A new lifestyle hotel and boutique experience found in the heart of CITY WALK, Dubai’s new urban living destination, La Ville Hotel & Suites, which opens in December, is a distinctive low rise property offering a unique and relaxed vibe amongst the metropolis of the city. Comprised of 77 rooms, 11 suites and 68 apartments, guest rooms will be spacious and will celebrate relaxed urban luxury through décor led by sophisticated neutral furnishings, combined with contemporary artistic twists. At Chival, menus will focus on healthy and locally sourced produce available all throughout the day. Subtle sophistication is met by an urban vibe at GRAZE, a modern gastro grill.
