The High Point Market has announced a top slate of judges for this year’s Showroom Design Competition, held during Market Week. The 2011 judges are Margaret Russell, editor in chief of Architectural Digest; world-renowned interior design icon David Easton; and Tracy Bulla, senior product editor for Home Accents Today.

The judges will vote for The Best of Market Award, which recognizes the showroom that best exemplifies design excellence. A second award, the People’s Choice Award, honors the one exhibitor who captures the most attention at the Market and is voted on by Market attendees through Twitter and texts during Market. Both awards will be presented on Oct. 24, during the Stars Under the Stars concert.

Best of Market Award

Judged by the panel of industry leaders, Best of Market gives special recognition to the one showroom that best exemplifies design excellence for 2011. All Market exhibitors are invited to submit photos of their best showroom displays for the October Market, with a deadline of 5pm on Friday, Oct. 21.

People’s Choice Award

Selected by Market Week attendees, the People’s Choice Award honors the one exhibitor who captures the most attention at the Fall 2011 High Point Market.

It’s easy to make your favorite showroom the People’s Choice winner:

1.When you see a truly exceptional showroom display, ask the exhibitor for their unique showroom ID number

2.Text the showroom ID to 99158 or tweet it to our @hpmsc Twitter account

You may vote for as many showrooms as you like, but only once per showroom. Voting begins on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 8am and continues until Monday, Oct. 24 at 3pm We’ll tally all the votes after three o’clock Monday afternoon and announce your People’s Choice Award winner at that evening’s Stars Under the Stars event.
