According to incomplete statistics, there were about 6,133 cases of furniture procurement projects in 2017 which were actually completed by public bidding, competitive negotiation and inquiry, increasing by 633 cases compared with 2016. The purchase amount was nearly RMB 6.3 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 3%, reaching the peak value in recent years.

In 2017, the overall situation of furniture procurement was good. Except for February and March, the purchase scale was over RMB 300 million each month.

In 2017, totally 32 projects of furniture procurement at more than tens of million yuan were completed. 18 projects were completed in summer (June to August) among which 14 projects were furniture procurement for school. The proportion of furniture procurement for the government office increase in a significant recovery, from September to October and numerous large projects at tens of millions of yuan for office furniture procurement started tendering.

According to incomplete statistics, a total of 8 projects at more than tens of million yuan for furniture procurement were completed from September to October, of which 7 were office furniture projects.

In addition, the proportion of hotel and hospital projects is getting bigger, which is drawing near the dominant position of two traditional projects of furniture procurement for government office and school. The large projects at more than a million yuan are increasing gradually. The procurement scale is greater than 2,000 projects at RMB 3 billion, which is in a significant growth compared with 2016,  3,100 projects at more than RMB 1 million were completed, the scale of nearly RMB 4.2 billion.
