As the summer approaches, China’s school furniture market, has experienced explosive growth.

In April, the purchase of school furniture nationwide was only 170 million yuan. In May, the scale of school furniture purchases soared to 380 million yuan, an increase of about 124% from the previous quarter, accounting for half of the China’s total furniture purchases, accounting for 51% of the total. In May, 266 school projects were completed, accounting for 42% of the total number of procurement projects.

The number of procurement projects has increased significantly, and large-scale projects of more than a million yuan have appeared frequently, indicating that major schools have ushered in the annual furniture purchase season.

Most schools buy furniture in advance so as to update and maintain the school furniture during the summer vacation of July and August. School furniture procurement category mainly includes desks and chairs, laboratory furniture, library furniture, canteen tables and chairs and cabinets, and colleges and some boarding schools will also purchase beds, desks, wooden cabinets and other furniture in the dormitory.
