Seeing demand for nursery products in its key markets, Top 100 furniture retailer Art Van has launched Art Van Baby.

The line includes cribs, dresser, changing tops, mattresses, gliders, crib bedding and accessories. The company will stock nine crib footprints that retail from $249 to $599. This number will expand to 25 when finish options come into play.

All cribs are convertible and will offer rail packages for toddler and full-bed conversions. There also will be matching dressers with changing tops, the company said. Among the brands it will carry are Delta Childrens’ Products and Westwood Design.

The company is test marketing the concept in six of its largest stores and will devote about 300 square feet in each store to the category.

“We want to reach our guest at every stage in life,” said Diane Charles, vice president of corporate communications at Art Van, noting that the line will hit floors this month.
