Milan, Salone del Mobile, is the perfect stage to present two new important Molteni &C communications tools, conceived to inform an international public about company’s new products offer.
A new concept and an international team for the Sequence and Night&Day catalogue.
Presenting a firm’s design with new eyes. Talking about ideas and their history. About who designs and who produces.A conversation with a business gives birth to a new publishing project from Molteni &C. Theme: Sequence and Night&Day, new generation bookcase and sofa by Patricia Urquiola. The aim was clear from the start: to break out of traditional catalogue design - all centred on the presentation of the finished product - to give space to the before, the during and the after. In other words, who thinks up design, who makes it, and who in the end chooses and uses it. Three parts to this story then: written, photographed and illustrated. Three different ways of proceeding along a common path where the photography of HenryBourne and the interpretations of Faye Toogood, the graphics of Emily Robertson meet the thoughts of Patricia Urquiola, collected in the form of fragments. A thought out ABC, dedicated to the relationship between the Spanish designer and Molteni &C. The connecting element of the publishing project, the distinctive and simple mark of the English art director Kuchar Swara.
