Who doesn’t love a nap? Winter is coming and curling up on the sofa is almost mandatory in the afternoons. There’s nothing better than a cozy sofa surrounded by a great modern room. Here are ten that we rounded up that we’d love to snuggle up with.
A cloud-like sofa, the Ploum by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Ligne Roset, is the perfect, womb-like spot to lay back and catch some Zzzz’s on. It sets the tone in this Toronto home, designed by Stephane Chamard for himself and his husband, which had been abandoned for more than 30 years when he took on the renovation.
A house designed by Edgars Zeimanis for a young family in the Republic of Moldova, with a double-height living room that has a low, modular sofa where the cushions can be moved around for prime napping.

This custom designed, plush rust red sofa sits in front of a fireplace and large windows with views out to its Aspen, Colorado location. The home’s rustic slash modern interiors were designed by Atelier AM, with the home itself being built by architect David Finholm.

This built-in sofa is almost like a daybed, which is pretty perfect to sleep on, especially when you’re looking out those windows at the Palm Springs views. The Frey House II was built in 1964 by architect Albert Frey and it’s still a place we’d like to call home.

Have you ever sat on a Ligne Roset Togo sofa before? You have to. I can only imagine how great they are to nap on. I’m digging the bright pink against the white walls in Meg Matthews’ London flat.
From Maxim Tikhonov of m2project, this masculine Moscow apartment features shades of grey and thoughtfully organized storage pieces. The cozy grey sofa with a chaise looks like a great place to spend the afternoon.
The quilted sofa STRIPS was designed in 1972 by Cini Boeri for Arflex and any room that sports it is a lucky one. It’s modular so you can create countless combinations for the best nap setup and we love how they paired the citron color with reds and magentas.
Another project from Stephane Chamard, this time the Haute Def Loft in Paris. This gallery-like space is open and bright with an ultra-modern white leather sofa floating in the middle of the floor. The fanned wings of the back can prop you up at the right angle when it’s time to close your eyes.

It’s like a bed, sofa, and cocoon all rolled into one perfect nap-worthy package in this minimalist FlatPak house in Aspen, Colorado, built by Kuru, Ltd.
