Asian retailer DM Home has opened the first dedicated Chaddock store here.
The roughly 656-square-foot Chaddock Bangkok, by DM Home store on the third floor of the Siam Paragon Mall opened with full lifestyle vignettes of Chaddock’s upscale furniture offering for the dining room, living room, study, bedroom and foyer.
It’s the first Thailand store for upper-end Chaddock, which also has a dedicated showroom in Ningbo, China.
Chaddock approached DM Home about opening a dedicated freestanding store after the Thailand retailer visited with the supplier in its High Point showroom during a recent furniture market, according to a Chaddock representative.
“DM Home has made a promise to its customers, and that is to bring the best in the world of interiors to Thailand,” Kamolrat Jirapongwattana, the retailer’s managing director, said in a release.
“This is America’s newest and most impressive home furnishings brand,” she said, noting that more than 90% of Chaddock’s product is handcrafted in Morganton, N.C., and “finished to perfection.”
Chaddock Chairman Gordon Guyon called the move an important step in Chaddock’s international strategy and said partnering with DM Home “is one of the easiest decisions this company has ever made.”
He said DM Home is among the worlds “finest luxury brand retailers,” and noted Bangkok’s reputation as a world capital for fashion and style.
“Additionally, Chaddock — its owners and associates — have enjoyed a long and special relationship with the peoples and business community of Southeast Asia,” Guyon added.
DM Home operates two Bangkok-area stores and one in Phuket, Thailand.
The companies did not disclose sales projections for the Chaddock showroom.
