As the world-renowned interior desigenr, Thomas Pheasant is known for his interior designs and furniture collections. He will be chosen as the 2016 Design Icon during the Las Vegas Market, Jan. 24-28.

Pheasant’s furniture design collections include Thomas Pheasant collection for Baker, Thomas Pheasant collection for McGuire and the recently launched collection of limited edition pieces, Thomas Pheasant Studio.

His current projects include Blair House, the President’s guest house on Pennsylvania Avenue across from the White House; a redesign of Starwood’s Crescent Hotel in Dallas; a luxury resort in Middleburg Va.; and private residences in New York, Paris, Moscow and Los Angeles.

During the Las Vegas Market, Pheasant will share his experiences working with high-profile clients and will share some of his design wisdom and philosophies. “Thomas Pheasant’s work has made an indelible imprint on interior design that has stood the test of time,” said Bob Maricich, CEO of International Market Centers. “He has the uncanny ability to wed classic style with a modern feel that never feels stilted. A centerpiece of programming at the market, the Design Icon Award honors an interior designer who has made a significant contribution to the industry throughout their career. Now in its 10th year, the Design Icon Award seeks to highlight the achievements of important designers and to offer Las Vegas Market attendees an opportunity to learn from some of the industry’s most successful members.

“I am honored to be selected as the Design Icon for 2016 and to join the ranks of the amazing designers before me,” Pheasant said. “It is so rewarding to be recognized and feel that my work has contributed to the evolution of American design.”

The Design Icon presentation will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. in the WorldView Room on the 16th floor of Building B. The event will include a presentation by Pheasant, followed by a Q&A session with Maricich. Immediately following the presentation will be a book signing of Pheasant’s latest book, “Simply Serene: The New Luxury for Modern Interiors.”
