Las Vegas Market reports growth in gift & home décor temporary exhibits
Source:Furniture World Magazine     May 24,2016

Las Vegas Market recently announced that temporary gift and home décor exhibits are expected to hit an all-time high this summer, with more than 500 exhibitors showing in The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market, July 31-August 4, 2016. The Market’s highest-ever rate of early renewals, combined with rapid addition of new companies, has resulted in gains across all five temporary gift and home décor categories – HOME, DESIGN, HANDMADE, GIFT and DISCOVERIES: The Antique Vintage Marketplace.

Of particular note for Las Vegas Market’s Summer 2016 gift and home décor temporary exhibits are the early sell-out of HANDMADE, the expected sell-out of GIFT, and rapid expansion of DESIGN, HOME and DISCOVERIES. The planned launch of three new showcase areas also is generating quite a bit of excitement: BHome, a new luxury-focused category within HOME; Artisanal LA, a new pop-up show featuring Los Angeles-based artisanal products and producers; and Trading Post 1908, a new pop-up collection of vintage and handmade products.

“The unparalleled rate of gift and home décor temporary renewals, combined with robust early leasing activity, signals Market strength and customer satisfaction. As Las Vegas Market exhibitor ROI steadily increases, more and more new companies are seeking access to our large, and growing, retail audience from western states,” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift & Home Décor, International Market Centers. “As the leading furniture, home decor and gift destination in the western United States, the Summer 2016 Las Vegas Market promises to be bigger and more exciting than ever before.”

Summer 2016 marks the first anniversary of The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market, a dramatic, freestanding, climate-controlled temporary trade show space showcasing some 80,000 net square feet of innovative and emerging gift and home décor resources in a vibrant, easy-to-shop, open layout. Pavilion 1 features HOME, DESIGN, HANDMADE and GIFT; Pavilion 2 houses DISCOVERIES: The Antique Vintage Marketplace, a unique resource for one-of-a-kind products including found objects, antiques, repurposed and recycled home décor, furnishings, jewelry and clothing all available for immediate delivery.

Two new specialty segments will debut Pavilion 1 this Summer: The Artisanal LA (ALA) pop-up showcase, highlighting the best handcrafted, handmade, unique artisan and maker products available; and BHome, a curated presentation of higher-end luxury furniture and home décor products targeted at specialty boutique retailers and interior designers. Nine first-time Las Vegas Market participants will exhibit in BHome including: Halo Home by Kimberly Schlegel Whitman, Incy Interiors, Magnus Art Collections LLC, and Wilkinson&Co. Among the section’s 25 total exhibitors are leading aspirational lines: Busatti s.r.l., M3LD, Mirror Tique, Pendulux and Poetic Pillow.

In addition to the 25 BHome newcomers, HOME will showcase 80+ exhibitors featuring accent décor, accent furniture, textiles, linens and decorative accessories. Five first-time Las Vegas Market exhibitors will show in HOME, including: A&A Designs, Alton Creations, Casa Amarosa and Haitral LED. These new exhibitors join leading home décor lines A. Sonoma, Darzzi LLC, Eangee, Elite Home Fashions, Fabulous Furs, Mathews & Company and Royola Pacific Designs.

The GIFT category represents the largest assortment of temporary exhibitors in The Pavilions, with more than 140 companies presenting an integrated collection of traditional and contemporary giftware including decorative gifts, tabletop/ housewares, gourmet foods, jewelry, apparel, spa/personal care, stationery and innovative lifestyle products. GIFT is expected to sell-out for Summer 2016, with notable new and expanding exhibitors including OILILY’s – making its Las Vegas Market debut – and The Grommet increasing its booth size.

In Pavilion 2 at Las Vegas Market, DISCOVERIES is a unique resource for the independent retail and interior design audience looking to diversify their assortments through the addition of antique, vintage and one-of-a-kind resources available for immediate delivery. Highlights for one-year anniversary of DISCOVERIES include the debut of Trading Post 1908, a pop-up showcase of antique, vintage and handmade goods will debut at the Summer 2016 Las Vegas Market; and significant expansion of exhibit space by several charter exhibitors: GO Home Ltd / Golden Oldies is tripling its space to 3,600-square-feet; Grenouille is doubling its size; and Vintage Addiction is quadrupling its space to 1,600-square-feet.
