Reservations for Heimtextil 2017 strong
Source:Furniture Today     May 30,2016

Eight months before the show opens, Heimtextil 2017 is almost fully booked.

The early interest in the annual interior textile fair is a strong and positive sign for the industry, said Messe Frankfurt officials. Messe Frankfurt is the association that organizes Heimtextil.

The number of early stand registrations for Heimtextil, which takes place Jan. 10-13, 2017, suggests that the show will have an increase in the number of participating exhibitors and in the amount of exhibition space, officials said, adding that numerous existing exhibitors are expanding their spaces.

“We work continually on developing the trade fair and are always in close contact with the industry,” said Olaf Schmidt, vice president, textiles and textile technologies at Messe Frankfurt. 'The excellent situation with registrations clearly shows that we are on the right track and just how important Heimtextil is as an international world-leading trade fair for the industry.”

More space has been allocated for digital printing for 2017. In a new location in Hall 6.0, digital printing from international manufacturers will be featured. Along with exhibitors including Epson, Hewlett Packard, Kiian, Mimaki and MS Printing, new companies such as Matsui and Schoeller Technocell will exhibit. SPG Print will also once again be present in the Digital Print area.

Additionally, there are new European exhibitors registered for the show, according to officials. Exhibitors who have already registered for a stand include mattress suppliers Frankenstolz and Technogel Italia and bedding companies Lefebvre Textile and Manterol. In the area of decorative fabrics, new companies from Belgium and the United States have registered and include Bru Textiles, B&T Textilia, Burlington Technologies, P. Kaufmann, Van Moele Weavers and Weverij van Neder. New table linen exhibitors include Danto di Popolla Daniele from Italy, Sav. Chatziargiriou and SIA EE and Yioi Theof Mavropoulou OE from Greece, as well as Multitablecloth and Bed from Portugal.

For the third consecutive year, Heimtextil will present the Theme Park trend section. Under the management of Exalis, experts from the French trend agency Carlin International will showcase 2017/2018 trends in various themed worlds during the trade fair. The 2017 theme, Explorations, will showcase a variety of innovative materials, textures and new patterns.

Heimtextil will also continue to place a strong focus on the topic of sustainability. Hall 8.0 will once again be the home of the Green Village at the 2017 event. In addition to numerous presentations, trade visitors will also be given the opportunity to talk to seal awarders and certifiers. During the Green Tour, a guided tour of the entire trade fair, participants will visit stands belonging to companies that promote sustainable products and concepts.
