The New York Chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) announced the 2016 honorees of its Circle of Excellence Awards.
The awards program was created in 1992 to recognize outstanding leadership, vision, and dedication in the furnishings and design industry. Achievers in six categories, this year's honorees will be feted at an Evening of Distinction on Oct. 14, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at The Union League Club.
The categories and honorees include: Education, DLFNY – Designers Lighting Forum of New York; Humanitarian, Iris Dankner, Holiday House; Interior Design, Alexa Hampton; Media, Cottages & Gardens; Product Design, Dakota Jackson; and Retailer, West Elm.
John Loecke and Jason Oliver Nixon are this year’s Circle of Excellence masters of ceremonies. A portion of profits will benefit the IFDA’s Educational Foundation, which distributes grants and scholarships to students and professionals in the furnishings and design fields.
