On Aug. 14, according to the latest retail sales data released by National Bureau of Statistics of the People's Republic of China, in Jul. 2017, the gross retail sales of social consumer goods is RMB 2.961 trillion, with a year-on-year nominal growth of 10.4%. (The real growth rate is 9.6% after deducting price factors, and the following is the nominal growth unless otherwise stated). Among them, the gross retail sale of furniture is RMB 24.7 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 12.4%. The gross retail sale of furniture from Jan. to Jul. is RMB 162.2 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 13.2%.

According to the data statistics in 2017 China Furniture Production Monitoring Report released by China Commerce Industry Institute, China's furniture production in the first half of 2017 is 405.09 million, and the top five provinces are Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Henan and Shandong respectively. Among them, the furniture production of Zhejiang in the first half of 2017 is 116.16 million, topping the ranking list.
