SHANGHAI -- Amax Leather will make its first appearance at the China International Furniture Expo, Sept.12-15 in Shanghai.
Debuting at the show in building E2, space B06, the Chinese supplier of leather stationary and motion upholstery is introducing its take on a California Casual style, a departure from its traditional styling with a more colorful and casual style.
“We look forward to seeing our existing customers and hope new customers come and see the direction we are heading,” said Bob Tan, president of Amax.
The company will also feature some of its new 2017 models in power motion, sleeper sofas and lift recliners, including latest features such as power adjustable headrest, lumbar support, memory settings, one-touch close or “home” button, battery pack and wall hugger.
Steven Cozine, vice president of sales, said Amax is expecting a brisk turnout at the show with the continuation of the trend of buyers looking to buy directly from factories to improve gross margin.
After more than 20 years as an OEM supplier, decided in 2014 to directly represent its own styles and designs to top leather retailers in the U.S. and Canadian markets. Company officials said it offers up to 10-20 stock models with two- to three-week delivery, special order lead times of 10 to 11 weeks and a library of hundreds of designs. They have a warehouse in Ontario, Calif., and will soon open one in High Point, N.C.
