This year, stellar works — exhibiting for the third consecutive year in milan’s tortona design district — presented an installation that plays with the ideas of location, context, and place and explores how interior objects define how we live. according to its designers, neri & hu, the space is intended to provoke awareness, and prompt visitors to question what it means to be anywhere — and everywhere.

Within the space, neri & hu unveils two new furniture collections. The industry collection is a utilitarian-inspired chair series comprising a stackable dining chair, dining armchair, and lounge chair suitable for everyday use in both residential and commercial spaces. Meanwhile, the versatile tripod series comprises five signature three-legged occasion tables. Designed for modern living, the collection is lightweight, portable, and available in a range of sizes, materials, and colors.

Elsewhere, danish studio SPACE copenhagen presents a modular sofa titled ‘INFINITY’. designed with a minimum number of edges and near invisible detailing, the couch has been conceived as a seamless and sculptural piece. the sofa is available in a range of sizes, variations, and finishes and can be personalized for a wide range of different moods and environments.
Meanwhile, three original designs by danish masters, vilhelm wohlert and jens risom, form part of the brand’s 2018 vintage design collection. the pieces were selected by stellar works CEO and founder, yuichiro hori, who is a passionate collector of mid-century design. vilhelm wohlert’s ‘triangle’ and ‘wohlert bar’ chairs are joined by the C140 and C142 chairs by danish-american designer jens risom.
‘We have worked with our creative directors and long-time collaborators, neri & hu to create a dynamic installation in which to reveal their new furniture collections alongside new pieces by SPACE copenhagen and evolved reissued designs by vilhelm wohlert and jens risom,’ says yuichiro hori, founder and CEO of stellar works. ‘I hope people take time to explore any/everyWHERE and ponder the questions it raises.’
