    June 06,2018

A.R.T. Furniture is belong to China-based Markor International Furniture Co.,. Founded in 2003 in Carlifornia, America, A.R.T. Furniture targets the middle and high end consumers in the world.

After recently launching a distribution center in the Triad, Ontario, Calif.–based A.R.T. Furniture is now working on a new venue to showcase its goods.

In April, A.R.T. Furniture announced the opening of a 100,000 square foot East Coast distribution center in Winston-Salem, N.C., providing retailers east of the Mississippi quicker access to East Coast inventory.

“The addition of this distribution center allows for increased speed to market, lower freight costs and real time east coast inventory for our retailers,” said Bryan Edwards, senior vice president of sales.

The racked, high cubed facility will stock the best-selling A.R.T. Furniture collections including casegoods, upholstered pieces and A.R.T. outdoor.

“We have been planning this new facility for a while,” said Jeff Cook, CEO, A.R.T. Furniture. “The East Coast warehouse allows us to meet a company objective of looking for ways to be exceptional partners and suppliers with our retailers.”

Markor, which also owns High Point furniture company Caracole, is now constructing a 147,200-square-foot showroom in High Point at 122 N. Hamilton St. for its two U.S. subsidiaries. The total investment for the project, including the land purchase and construction costs, is estimated at $20 million, said Tom Conley, president and CEO of the High Point Market Authority.

Markor, which operates under the name Liv.Able Inc. in the U.S., enlisted New Atlantic Contracting Inc. as the general contractor for the project, according to public records.
