On July 9, the 127,000 square feet (approximately 12,000 square meters) upholstered furniture manufacturing plant of American Ashley Furniture Co., Ltd. in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin was officially put into operation.
This plant complements the company's 12 original production facilities in the United States and will assist the Ashley flagship plant in Arcadia 60 miles away to cooperate with it for production.
Last month, Ashley announced plans to open a new factory in the city and will invest millions of dollars. The investment will be used to update the facility and purchase new machinery and equipment, and provide more than 200 new jobs in the region.
