European antique furniture and home decoration startup Vinterior receives 9.3 million euros in Series A financing
    September 28,2021

Recently, Vinterior, a leading European antique furniture and home decoration startup, announced that it has received 9.3 million euros (70 million yuan) in Series A financing led by Active Partners. This investment will be used to promote international growth and product innovation, and to bring sustainable antique home furnishings to consumers across Europe.

Vinterior was launched in 2016 and is a start-up company that speaks for antiques in the home furnishing industry. Vinterior provides buyers with carefully selected furniture, lighting, artwork, textiles and home decorations, covering various decorative art styles in the Middle Ages.

Within five years, Vinterior has grown from a dozen dealers in London to one of the industry' s leading leaders composed of more than 1,800 sellers in more than 30 countries, and has created more than US$600 million (3.8 billion yuan) in sales worldwide. Now offers 97 categories of furniture and household items and more than 200,000 products.

Speaking of this investment move, Active Partners’ investment Tom Profumo said: “Vinterior’ s extraordinary collection of exquisite, high-quality furniture and home accessories has opened the door for consumers around the world to enter the antique market. With re-commerce and recycling the rise of the economy has promoted the growing demand for antiques. We can’t wait to see what the next chapter of the development of Vinterior is."

It is understood that Vinerior has also formulated internal management guidelines and reviewed the products before they are launched on the platform to delete items that do not comply with these guidelines. With the addition of 500 to 1000 products every day, Vinterior has built an automatic management tool that supports manual management.

The company' s goal is to become Europe' s most popular antique furniture company by 2030, but if it wants to achieve it, it also means that it will be accompanied by various difficulties. Transporting vintage furniture to more than 1,800 locations in Europe is a difficult point in itself. In addition, the platform has an inventory of more than 200,000 items. It is also a very big technical challenge to help customers find the right products quickly.
