Suzuki Corporation's medium-sized outboard engines "DF140BG" and "DF115BG" won the "Best Product Award" from the "Boating Industry" of the U.S. Marine Industry Corporation.
The award aims to commend ship-related products, such as outboard engines, boats and marine supplies, that have been listed in the United States from January 2020 to December 2020. These products have contributed to the revitalization of the marine industry. This is the 6th time that the Suzuki Group has won the Outboard Motor Award. At the same time, Suzuki has also become the manufacturer of outboard motors with the most awards.
「DF140BG」 and 「DF115BG」have been widely acclaimed in Europe and the United States since launched in October 2020 with the popular four-stroke outboard. The products adopted the "Suzuki Precision Control" electronic throttle and shift system and are applied to the four strokes of 140 horsepower and 115 horsepower, becoming the worlds’ first fast and accurate throttle control. Besides, fuel efficiency, mute function and maintainability are considered when prizing the award.
