Mengi Yay has delivered the first hull in its Virtus 39 series following successful sea trials in Istanbul. Named Reverie, the 39.4-metre yacht is the second project delivered by the Turkish shipyard this year, with the first being the 43-metre Gisa.
Interior and exterior design is owed to VYD Studio with engineering by Ginton Naval Architects. Reverie's stand-out feature is her high-voltage electrical system, allowing her to operate in "silent mode" for longer periods of time.
Much like the Virtus 44 and Virtus 47, the designer's focus was on maximising space and creating smart solutions that put "comfort standards [...] at the highest level", in spite of the yacht's "shorter body".
Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, Reverie can reach a maximum speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 12.2 knots and a range of 2,200 nautical miles.
According to BOATPro, the yard has eight additional units currently in build.
