The Polish shipyard has unveiled the first renders of this highly anticipated multihull, signaling significant progress in its development. Innovative sailing catamaran, the Zero Cat is a 27-meter catamaran, a product of Sunreef's R&D department and promises "unlimited autonomy" by producing its own fuel while at sea. Its design maintains the sleek silhouette and clean lines characteristic of Sunreef vessels but features a more sculpted stern with an aggressive angle towards the water. Staircases at the rear of each hull provide access to the water or the partially covered aft deck.

Incorporating futuristic green technology, the Zero Cat will be equipped with a reformer capable of converting methanol into hydrogen. This fuel-cell system will generate clean energy for electric propulsion and onboard power, resulting in zero emissions, nitrogen oxides, or sulfur oxides. Additionally, it will operate with minimal noise and vibrations, ensuring a smooth and peaceful voyage.

The Zero Cat will harness even more green energy from hydro generators and solar cells integrated into its entire bodywork, referred to as a "solar skin." This innovation, seen in other Sunreef models, continuously generates power from sunlight.

Addressing safety concerns associated with hydrogen power, Sunreef assures that no high-pressure hydrogen storage will be required onboard. As the shipyard continues to develop this groundbreaking technology, the Zero Cat represents a significant step forward in environmentally friendly yachting.

Sunreef Yachts was founded by Francis Lapp in 2002 in Gdansk, Poland. Since then, the shipyard has been designing and manufacturing luxury sailing and power multihulls.
