Two brands that are part of Italy’s Next Yacht Group unveiled three new models at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) last week. Maiora unveiled the new Exuma 36 and AB Yachts introduced the AB95 and AB95 S models.
Roy Capasso, AB Yachts’ head of sales, announced the new AB95 models at FLIBS. This model takes forward the innovations introduced with the AB110, which was recently showcased at the European boat shows and which integrates all the technical and technological features developed by the brand over its 30-year history, along with its reliability, engineering solutions, propulsion system, and construction materials with the new design concept by architect Marco Casamonti/Archea Associati.
The AB95 follows in the wake of her larger sistership, combining stylish, generous convivial areas with the distinctive sporty technology of the brand to achieve the perfect marriage between comfort and adventure. She remains a sporty vessel which features being very quiet and the absence of any vibrations, but can now offer added on-board liveability, comfort, and wellbeing.
The exteriors and interiors are luxurious and airy. This applies especially to the flybridge, where reverse glazing along the boat’s profile further increases space and comfort; and panoramic views and easy access from the aft deck.
The second version, the AB95 S, is defined as a ‘racing car of the seas’ and is for owners who want speed and the experiences that go with it. With her sporty lines, the convertible roof top integrated in her streamlined profile, a cutting-edge propulsion system ensures high-speed performance.
Both models share a number of elements that are rooted in the brand’s DNA, such as ease of manoeuvre, efficiency (particularly at high cruising speeds), the absence of any vibrations, and maximum safety at all times. These yachts have a 1.2m (4ft) draught allowing access anywhere.
“This model embodies a new style of cruising – powerful, safe, efficient, noiseless, and immensely fascinating,” Capasso said. “We are certain the AB95 is going to meet, and exceed, our owners’ wishes and requirements.”
Daniele Caronna, head of sales at Maiora, presented details of the new Exuma 36, designed by Quartostile (exteriors) and Acube Design (interiors). This yacht is an evolution of the multi-award-winning model that redefined the concept of versatility by blending together the volumes, luxury and comfort of traditional flybridge yachts and explorer experiences.
Capable of safely and comfortably reaching a speed of 35kt, the new Maiora 36 Exuma has a limited draught of 1.4m (4.5ft), allowing it to explore Mediterranean beaches or the waters of the Caribbean without the slightest constraint.
“This model’s brilliant performances and extraordinary onboard liveability are quite extraordinary on the market,” said Caronna, “and this new 36m (118ft) model is definitely going to stand out from the crowd of traditional yachts.”
