Italian shipyard Wider Yachts has confirmed that its first multihull offering, Acali, will make her international debut at this year's Cannes Yachting Festival. The 28-metre composite catamaran has been designed in collaboration with Luca Dini and built to RINA class. Highlights include a main deck dedicated to the owner, an expansive beach club and a hybrid propulsion system.

Heesen has announced a significant milestone in the construction of YN 21150, also known as Project Sophia. Last month, the hull and superstructure of this 50-meter fast cruising yacht were successfully joined, marking a crucial step toward her completion. Project Sophia showcases Heesen's expertise in building fast aluminium yachts with reduced fuel consumption. Her sporty exterior lines are designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, and her luxurious interior is crafted by Cristiano Gatto.

Who better to develop a superyacht for the next generation than an up-and-coming talent? Italian designer Davide Benaglia has just unveiled an innovative 220-footer that caters to the needs of young digital natives. The industry newcomer developed the aptly named Hype-R for Feadship’s Young Designer of the Year Award. The entrants, all of whom were under 28 years of age, were asked to create “futuristic” vessels with environmental innovations, cutting-edge technology, and workable layouts. Benaglia didn’t win the competition—Pradipta R. Hakim of Indonesia scored top honors—but his concept is still an interesting one.

The sixth unit in Moonen Yachts' 36.3-metre Martinique series, Moonshine, has successfully completed her sea trials. Moonshine will soon be delivered to her owner, after which she will spend her first year cruising the Mediterranean and Caribbean before reaching her new home in San Diego, California.

The Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona has launched five new Custom Line superyachts within a single month. These launches include two yachts from the planing line, two from the Navetta line, and the new flagship in the 50-metre aluminium made-to-measure line. One of the standout vessels is the Custom Line 50 flagship, M/Y Asante. This all-aluminium yacht marks Custom Line's debut in the under 500 GT metal construction segment. The launch ceremony, held on June 8, was attended by the owner's family and the shipyard’s top management.
