Hilton launches new Denver city center location

Following a $27-million, multi-phase renovation, Hilton Hotels & Resorts added its newest hotel to its portfolio of more than 570 hotels across six continents. Owned by Arlington, Va.'s Chesapeake Lodging Trust, the 20-story Hilton Denver City Center consists of 613 guestrooms.

Close to the Rocky Mountains, the Hilton Denver City Center tower has 581 guestrooms and 32 suites. The property is also near main downtown attractions, including the Colorado Convention Center, 16th Street Mall, Pepsi Center, Sports Authority Field and Denver Art Museum.

The new Hilton is self-advised lodging real estate investment trust Chesapeake Lodging Trust's 21st hotel. Now, the REIT's combined guestroom stock totals 6,472 across eight states and the District of Columbia.

Across the country in Tennessee, Hilton Hotels & Resorts opened a new airport hotel. The Hilton Nashville Airport opened in early November following an extensive renovation, and the 382-guestroom hotel is near Nashville International Airport and downtown Nashville.

On the same day, parent company Hilton Worldwide began operating four hotels under the Double Tree by Hilton and Curio Collection by Hilton brands. Hilton opened two new DoubleTree hotels near Toronto Airport: DoubleTree by Hilton Toronto Airport West and DoubleTree by Hilton Toronto Airport. DoubleTree by Hilton Toronto Airport West has 264 guestrooms while DoubleTree by Hilton Toronto Airport has 292 guestrooms and suites near Congress Centre, International Centre, entertainment, dining and retail.

In the U.S., Hilton launched the H Hotel Los Angeles, Curio Collection by Hilton near LAX, Venice Beach, Manhattan Beach and Santa Monica. The hotel group also brought a new DoubleTree to Boston close to Logan International Airport. The newly-renovated DoubleTree by Hilton Boston Logan Airport Chelsea has 180 guestrooms and suites near Mystic Mall and Fenway Park.
