Hotels in the U.S. reported mostly negative year-over-year results in the three key performance metrics for the week ending 7 April, according to data from STR, HNN’s parent company.
Occupancy was down 2.7% to 68.3%, average daily rate increased 0.7% to $128.84 and revenue per available room decreased 2% to $88.03.
Miami/Hialeah, Florida, saw the highest jump in RevPAR among the top 25 markets (+34% to $222). Chicago reported the largest decrease in RevPAR (-29.9% to $79.30).
