Berkshire County, Massachusetts, is attracting boutique hotel projects to the region, located roughly halfway between New York City and Boston.
The New York Times reports on the development of Tourists, a 48-room independent boutique hotel under development by Boston-based Broder in collaboration with creative entrepreneurs and musicians.
Also in the area, outside North Adams, Massachusetts, Karla Rothstein and Salvatore Perry of Manhattan architecture firm Latent Productions are developing Greylock Works on a former textile mill site. The multiuse development has event space, and the owners have a hotel and condominiums in the works, according to the Times.
In nearby Lenox, Massachusetts, the historic Blantyre is scheduled to reopen this month under management of OHM Collection following a 2016 change of ownership and subsequent full renovation.
