U.S. hotels see weekly metrics jump: U.S

U.S. hoteliers saw significant increases in each of the three key performance metrics for the week ending on 14 April, according to the latest data from HNN’s parent company STR.

Occupancy increased 6.1% to 68.1%; average daily rate was up 5.8% to $130.57; and revenue per available room jumped 12.2% to $88.95. While those numbers might be eye-catching compared to the more moderate growth figures seen recently, STR analysts attribute the week’s performance to the positive impact of the Easter calendar shift from 2017 to 2018.
