A group of CEOs representing ownership groups in Arabic and Gulf Cooperation Council markets recently said they are disappointed in the level of support and investment made by brands, writes Hotel News Now’s Terence Baker. The comments came during a panel discussion at the recent Arabian Hotel Investment Conference.
“I am struggling with the fact that all our investment is in software, when we should be concentrating on hardware. We build the bricks and mortar, and we expect the operators to provide that added value,” said Jalil Mekouar, CEO of hotels at Majid Al Futtaim.
