Red Star Macalline, a Chinese furniture retailing giant, announced that it has purchased JSWB (Jisheng Wellborn Furniture Group), another domestic furniture stores, on Feb. 9. Later the purchasing price unveiled to be 2 billion RMB.

Red Star Macalline is named as the number one home furnishing retailing brand in China which owns 125 shopping malls in over 90 cities. As a 28-year brand, it’s the first one to do chain brand stores, management contract stores and has the home furnishing malls with largest unit building area. As the brand with third largest influence, JSWB has commercial network covering Shanghai, Guangzhou and Changchun City, especially its International Furniture Village mode which accumulates over 1,000 famous brands home and abroad.

The acquisition will further strengthen Red Star Macalline’s leading position in home furnishing retail market. An insider said the brand name of JSWB will be maintained after the deal and Red Star Macalline will promote double brand strategy to enlarge the market share, as well as the product lines.
