According to the latest statistics of China National Light Industry Council and China National Furniture Association, there have been 45 named furniture industrial clusters in China since the first characteristic area was named in 2003,with 8 newly-added clusters this year:

B: TheManufacturing Base of Chinese School Furniture" - Nancheng County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province;
C: TheCentral China(Qingfeng) Furniture Industrial Park" - Qingfeng County, Puyang City, Henan Province;
D: The Chinese Yangtze River Economic Zone (Hubei) Home Furnishing Industrial Park" - Jianli County, Hubei Province,
E: The Chinese Upholstered Furniture Industrial Base" - Zhoucun District, Zibo City, Shandong Province,
F: TheCapital of Chinese Furniture Exhibition Trade" - Houjie Town, Guangdong Province,
G: The Chinese (Xinyang) Emerging Home Furnishing Industrial Base" - Xinyang City, Henan Province,
H: TheCentral China (Yeji) Home Furnishing Industrial Park" - Liu'an City, Anhui Province.
With respect to the current situation, industrial clusters of Chinese furniture industry, i.e., the industrial concentration areas are mainly divided into two categories: one is the industrial concentration spontaneously formed due to its own various factors at different stages since reform and opening up; the other is the relatively concentrated industrial park that springs up in recent years. These industrial parks are constructed by developers led by the government basically.The former is called "the characteristic region" and the latter "the emerging industrial park".
